NC wins in Kamala, UML in Mithila and Maoist Center in Bideha

JANAKPUR, Sept 23: Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Maoist Center have won elections in Kamala, Mithila and Bideha municipalities respectively.

JANAKPUR, Sept 23: Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Maoist Center have won elections in Kamala, Mithila and Bideha municipalities respectively.


NC candidates Ram Uddhar Goit  and Shila Devi Mandal have been elected as mayor and deputy mayor of Kamala Municipality. Goit and Mandal got 4, 020, 4, 106 votes respectively.

Similarly, UML candidates Hari Narayan Mahato and  Tara Kumari Basnet got 6,749 votes and 6625 votes to become mayor and deputy mayor of Mithila Municipality.


Likewise, Bechan Das and Nilam Devi Mandal of Maoist Center got 2, 770 and 2,649 votes to become mayor and deputy mayor of Bideha Municipality.


Their closes rivals Prem Chandra Jha and Rubi Devi Mandal of Nepali Congress got 2,614 and 2,521 votes respectively.
