KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Nepali Congress (NC) on Friday boycotted the regular session of the Legislative Parliament for consecutive fourth day charging that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal failed to address the NC´s demands. [break]
NC whip Shobhakar Parajuli, immediately after the meeting resumed following a brief obstruction by Madhesi Peoples´ Rights Forum (MPRF) lawmakers, said Maoist has remained indifferent to the NC´s nine-point demands. He charged that the Maoists are trying to impose the rule of gun. "Nobody should nurture the dream to rule the people by intimidation and gun," he said.
Earlier, MPRF lawmakers had obstructed the meeting charging that their scholarship bill couldn´t be pushed due to continuous house boycott by the NC. Parajuli later said the NC is not against the reservation and scholarship bill.
Following the NC´s boycott, Speaker Subas Nemwang announced the adjournment of the House for next Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The regular session of the Legislative Parliament resumed after speaker Subas Nemwang requested the Madhesi Peoples´ Rights Forum (MPRF) lawmakers participate in the meeting. After half an hour obstructing proceedings, the MPRF lawmakers eventually agreed to sit. The lawmakers had obstructed the meeting earlier demanding the scholarship bill be passed.
KATHMANDU, Dec 26: The regular session of the Legislative Parliament couldn´t proceed on Friday also due to obstruction by Madhesi Peoples’ Rights Forum (MPRF). As the meeting convened, MPRF lawmakers encircled the rostrum demanding that the scholarship bill be passed. Education Minister Renu Kumari Yadav had tabled the third amendment bill related to scholarship.
