KATHMANDU, March 1: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has expressed full support for candidate Himal Karki in Kathmandu-10. Speaking at a party election rally in Kirtipur on Sunday, Thapa warned against being influenced by negative rumors circulating on social media and emphasized that NC candidates remain strong on the ground.
“There is a lot of noise on social media. Whatever negative is said online goes viral. Even if I harshly criticize someone here, it spreads on social media,” Thapa said. “But the reality on the ground is different. Among our ticketed candidates, Himal Ji is number one to win.”

Thapa urged party leaders and workers to visit voters today and tomorrow, listen to their concerns, acknowledge shortcomings, and demonstrate a commitment to improvement.
“After winning, Himal Ji will work with my team, and it is also my responsibility to ensure the promises he made are implemented,” he added. “Do not be influenced by negativity online; vote based on reality and elect responsible representatives to the parliament.”
