NBA calls emergency meeting for Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: Opposing the statement issued by the Supreme Court stating the chief justice willingness to head election government, Nepal Bar Association (NBA), an umbrella organization of the lawyers active in Nepal, called an emergency meeting on Tuesday.



According to NBA Vice President Tikaram Bhattarai, the meeting scheduled for tomorrow will discuss implications of CJ-led government when the case is still sub-judice in the apex court. [break]

Former presidents and general secretaries NBA have also been invited in the meeting.



NBA has been opposing the CJ-led government from the early beginning citing that it violates long-established principles of separation of powers.
