Majority of the hotels and resorts at Nagarkot which lies at the north-eastern border of Bhaktapur and Kavre districts have been leveled by the quakes and the arrival of tourists has come to a grinding halt.
The Naldum Tourism Development Committee Chairman Deepak Lamichhane said 12 big hotels have been razed to the ground while other seven hotels have suffered extensive damages rendering them inhabitable.
He said Hotel Snowman, Hotel Spa Mountain, Naldum Village Resort, Hotel View Point, Hotel Green Valley, Panorama View and The Fort Resort have turned into rubbles while Hotel Unkai Resort, The Niva Pvt, Hotel Chautari, Club Himalaya among others have also suffered partial damages. The hotel entrepreneurs say the hotels with partial damages could be brought back into business after necessary repair works.
