JANAKPURDHAM, May 12: Samim Miya Ansari, President of Muslim Commission Nepal, has been accused of distributing money to influence voters in Janakpurdham on Thursday, a day before local level election.
As people began to protest outside the Sita Sharan Hotel, Janakpurdham where Miya was staying at room number 305, accusing him of distributing money to people from Muslim community trying to influence vote, he was escorted by Armed Police Force (APF) personnel to the Janakpurdham Airport, according to Madhesh Police Chief of APF DIG Ganesh Thada Magar

Ansari was accused of distributing money during the election, but no money was recovered from him, said DIG Magar. “Miya has been taken to Janakpurdham Airport. He is flying to Kathmandu soon,” he said earlier on the day.
Chief District Officer of Dhanusha, Surendra Poudel, said that the news about President Miya being arrested while distributing money is completely false. "He is being escorted to Kathmandu as some groups obstructed him, accusing him of distributing money,” he said. Poudel said there was no evidence that Miya had distributed money to influence votes in the election.
Ansari was appointed as the President of Muslim Commission Nepal by then K P Oli-led government some three years ago. A complaint was lodged in the parliamentary committee against him for the fake citizenship and forged educational certificates. Miaya courts controversy time and again for his works.
