BHAKTAPUR, Jan 27: The Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is to set up its units in all seven provinces, with at least one model technical school in the provinces.
Speaking at an interaction on 'CTEVT in a federal structure' here Friday, member-secretary of the Council Puspa Raman Wagley said that the quality of the CTEVT programmes will be increased with practical and transparent monitoring and evaluation.

National Planning Commission member Dr Geeta Bhakta Joshi shared that seven model polytechnic in the seven provinces was mentioned in the policy and programme of the government.
Prof Dr Suresh Raj Sharma called for an estimation of the number of technical human resource required for the next five to ten years and work accordingly.
Likewise, Dr Dinesh Chandra Devkota stressed the need to review the CTEVT Act, 2045 while Dr Hari Pradhan said the CTEVT should be able to make the country self-reliant in technical human resource.
CTEVT Vice-chair Kul Bahadur Basnet said a decision has to be made whether to form a high level committee or an independent body for technical and vocational education in the country. RSS
