KATHMANDU, Oct 26: The warning assembly organized by the major opposition party CPN (Maoist Center) is currently taking place at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu. This is the first time that the party has hit the streets with a protest after it was ousted from the former government.

Before the warning assembly, Maoist leaders and activists gathered at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu from various locations with a protest march themed as a vigil rally.

The assembly includes participants such as Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal,  Senior Vice-Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Vice Chairpersons Agni Prasad Sapkota and Pampha Bhusal, General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretaries Barshaman Pun and Janardan Sharma, along with other officials and leaders from the party.

The Maoist Center has organized the warning assembly to demand solutions to the problems in areas such as the search for the missing, relief distribution, treatment for the injured, and the construction of temporary shelters, citing the government's insensitivity, irresponsibility, and lack of planning in disaster management.

The Maoist Center stated that the assembly aims to protest against the conspiracy to undermine the good governance campaign initiated by its party leadership and to counteract activities related to corruption.
