He expressed best wishes for the committee to conduct a deep and impartial investigation to find a sustainable solution to the issues surrounding visit visas. He also mentioned that the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is already looking into the matter and that his party has full trust in the commission's performance.

A Cabinet meeting held on Monday formed the high-level committee to investigate the visit visa scandal in which Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has been heavily implicated.

The committee has been formed under the leadership of former Chief Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, including joint secretaries from six ministries: Tirtha Raj Chilwal (Finance), Aruna Joshi (Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs), Ram Krishna Lamichhane (Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation), Maniratna Koirala (Foreign Affairs), Pradeep Koirala (Labor, Employment and Social Security), and Anand Kafle (Home Affairs).

On the other hand, the second and third largest parties, Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party, respectively, expressed harsh dissatisfaction over the formation of the committee in the parliament, stating that this committee has no meaning since government has an ill-intention to not conduct fair investigation, but to cover up things.
