RSP submits five-point proposal to probe visit visa case

RSP lawmaker Manish Jha informed that the party has formally written to the ruling Nepali Congress proposing the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to conduct an in-depth study at the policy-level and practical issues related to the visit visa scandal.

KATHMANDU, June 9: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has presented a five-point proposal demanding an investigation into the visit visa case and the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.


RSP lawmaker Manish Jha informed that the party has formally written to the ruling Nepali Congress proposing the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to conduct an in-depth study at the policy-level and practical issues related to the visit visa scandal. He also clarified that RSP has not backed down from its demand for the resignation of the Home Minister.

The proposal outlines that the parliamentary probe must proceed in a way that does not interfere with the ongoing investigation by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).


The visit visa case has been continuously obstructing the proceedings of the House of Representatives.
