A motorcycle bearing the registration number plate Ba 19 Pa 5034 had knocked him down in front of the Chandranigahapur Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Police have arrested the motorcyclist in this connection.
Meanwhile, a man has died and four others were injured after lightning struck them at Sindhupalchowk on Monday evening.
The deceased is 52-year-old Mingmar Tamang of Phulpingdanda VDC-6. Tamang and two other people were inside his house when lightning struck the house.
Similarly, two people have sustained serious injuries due to lightning at Pangretar VDC in the district. They are undergoing treatment at the local health centre.
