Santa Bahadur Pariyar of Arbeni-5, Gulmi died after coming in contact with a high-tension line of Kaligandaki-A Hydropower Project while he was shifting a telephone pole. The pole touched the high-tension line in the process electrocuting Pariyar.
Police said fire broke out in the nearby village following the incident.
Police have detained Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, a local, who asked Pariyar to move the telephone pole.
