Maharjan will compete in the men´s 81kg (light heavy) weight category while Manandhar will vie in the men´s 52kg (fly) weight category in the championship, which is also a qualifying tournament for the London Olympics 2012.[break]
Both, Maharjan and Manandhar, had recently participated in the Asian Confederation Boxing Championship in Incheon, South Korea in August. Chief coach of boxing Prachanda Sharma and member of Nepal Boxing Association Om Narayan Shrestha will accompany Maharjan and Manandhar.
"It´s my dream to qualify for the Olympics and this championship is an opportunity to fulfil it," said Maharjan, the bronze medalist of the 32nd Kings Cup. "I´ll fight to the best of my abilities to secure berth for Olympics," he added.
Maharjan and his coach Sharma said that they have trained well despite lack of sparring partner. "We have sent Maharjan and Manandhar to different international tournaments after the Asian Games and we hope those experiences will help during the World Championship," said Sharma.

Manandhar also said that he would try his best in the championship.
National Sports Council Member Secretary Yubaraj Lama and Nepal Boxing Association President Rabi Raj Thapa bade farewell to the Nepali team.
"As Deepak (Maharjan) has proved himself earlier, we have expectations from him in this championship. I wish him success," said Thapa during the farewell.
Altogether 685 boxers from 127 nations will participate in the championship.
