Issuing a press release, the Morcha has given an ultimatum to the party to “correct” the draft within 15 days. The release said that if the draft is not corrected, the Morcha will end all relations with the UCPN-Maoist.

The statement is signed by 19 members of the Morcha.

It added that the draft has undermined the importance of the Limbuwan community and hurt the sentiments of this ethnic group.

The Maoist party had on September 2 submitted the draft to the CA Committee on State Restructuring. It proposed Bijayapur, initially included within the Limbuwan state, as a separate administrative zone. Similarly, some area put by the Limbuwan in its territory has been separated and put under Kochila.

Meanwhile, the Morcha is holding multi-ethnic groups´ conference with the aim to give continuity to the demand of a separate Limbuwan state in 9 eastern districts.
