KATHMANDU, Feb 17: There is partial influence from the westerly winds and a low-pressure system in the western part of the country.
According to the weather forecast bulletin issued this morning by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), partial to general cloud cover is expected in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Elsewhere, the weather will generally remain clear with partial cloud cover in some areas, while fog/mist has formed in parts of the Terai region. The bulletin mentions that by midday, the mountainous regions of the country will experience partial to generally cloudy conditions, and the rest of the areas will mostly remain clear with some partial cloud cover.
The bulletin also states that light snowfall is possible at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, light snowfall is expected at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati province.
The DHM also cautioned that mist/fog could form in some parts of the Terai in the morning, which may have a slight impact on daily life, health, road, and air transportation. Therefore, it urged the public to take necessary precautions and be alert to avoid potential issues.
