KATHMANDU, July 14: Light to moderate rain is currently taking place in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. This is due to the influence of Monsoon winds that are present across the country, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).
In the next 24 hours, the DHM has forecast heavy rain in some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
According to the weather bulletin published by the DHM this morning, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the country this afternoon, with a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces as well as at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy over the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces as well as in some places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and some parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, adds the DHM.
