KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast light rainfall in Gandaki Province today, with a chance of snowfall in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
The MFD reports a partial influence of westerly winds in Nepal, contributing to the current weather conditions. According to the meteorological bulletin issued by the MFD at 6 AM today, currently the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, and mainly clear in the rest of the country. Similarly, storms have been predicted at a few places in the plains.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. However, there is a possibility of light rainfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.
The weather is predicted to be mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces tonight. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Koshi provinces.
