Vehicular movement along Pasang Lhamu Highway affected due to landslides

RASUWA, Aug 25: Pasang Lhamu Highway, which connects Nepal with Chinese border point Kerung, has been obstructed due to the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall since Saturday night.

RASUWA, Aug 25: Pasang Lhamu Highway, which connects Nepal with Chinese border point Kerung, has been obstructed due to the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall since Saturday night.


Landslides have damaged the road section at Ramche, Brabal, Lingling, and Tatopani in between Betrawati and Rasuwagadhi.


District authorities said that they are working to clear the debris. According to CDO Arjun Bhandari said it would take at least two hours to clear the debris of the landslides.

Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi is a major north-south trade route linking Nepal with China. The road section is often affected during the monsoon season due to landslide triggered by incessant rainfall.


Staffers at Road Division, Nepal Police and locals have been mobilized to clear the debris, CDO Bhandari informed.
