NUWAKOT, Aug 25: Traffic on the Ranipauwa-Paitiskilo road section along the Pasang Lhamu highway has been obstructed due to a landslide along the road at ward no.4 of Kakani rural municipality.
The landslide that occurred on Friday night has brought traffic to a standstill, with hundreds of passenger left stranded, according to traveller Nawaraj Ghimire. Around 50 meters of the road has been buried by the debris of the landslide, including huge rocks, he said.
Landslide obstructs Pasang Lhamu highway
Clearing of the landslip debris began since this morning, according to chairperson of ward no. 4 Dipesh Lama.
Road expansion work taking place along the Pasang Lhamu highway has been leading to landslides at various points of the highway, repeatedly obstructing traffic this monsoon.
