KATHMANDU, Nov 10: During this year's Tihar festival, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has allowed people to organize Deusi Bhailo programs in the city until 1AM.
Mayor Balendra Shah announced on Friday via social media that Deusi Bhailo programs are permitted until 1 AM during this year's festival. He also mentioned that the metropolitan police will be conducting 'patrolling' for security until 1 o'clock in the night. Until that time, he has urged the public to play Deusi Bhailo in a dignified manner.

Shah wrote, 'In the past years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and security concerns, the timing of Deusi Bhailo program was limited till 9PM in Kathmandu. This year, the KMC Police has arranged patrolling for security until 1AM and we sincerely request everyone to behave in a considerate manner and organize Deusi Bhailo only until the designated time. Accordingly, we sincerely request the Nepal Police and District Administration Office to make security arrangements.”
