618 new cases and one new death in the past 24 hours in the Valley


KATHMANDU, Sept 17: With 618 new cases in the past 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 cases in the Kathmandu Valley reached 14,279 on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 507 people in Kathmandu, 50 in Bhaktapur and 61 in Lalitpur districts were diagnosed with the coronavirus disease.


Likewise, a COVID-19 patient died in the past 24 hours in the Valley, taking the Valley’s COVID-19 death toll to 91.


The Valley had recorded 737 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, 676 on Tuesday and 512 on Monday.


The three districts — Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur — in the Valley are among the districts with the highest numbers of COVID-19 cases in Nepal.
