KATHMANDU, May 31: According to IQAir, Kathmandu still features on the list of the world’s top 10 most polluted cities.
The air pollution level in Kathmandu was measured at 107 at 1 PM on Friday. With this level, Kathmandu ranks as the 10th most-polluted city of the world.

A level of 107 indicates that the pollution in Kathmandu is regarded as unhealthy.
Similarly, it seems that the air pollution has decreased due to the rain and storms for the past few days in Kathmandu. However, it appears that it will take some time for the pollution to be cleaned entirely.
Likewise, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo ranks as the first among the most polluted cities in the world; the air pollution level in Kinshasa has been measured at 187. Whereas Indonesia’s Jakarta ranks as the second most polluted city where the air pollution level has been measured at 162.
Pakistan’s Lahore ranks as the world’s third most polluted city, with an AQI of 159 whereas China’s Wuhan ranks the world’s fourth most polluted city, with an AQI of 156. Similarly, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates Ranks as the world’s fifth most polluted city, with an AQI of 152 and India’s capital, Delhi, ranks as the world’s sixth most polluted city, with an AQI of 151. Uganda’s Kampala holds the seventh position with an AQI of 143 while Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, holds the eighth position with an AQI of 117 and India’s Kolkata holds the ninth position with an AQI of 114.
