Jumanu Rai scored the first goal of the match in the 3rd minute. Kalhaidhoo equalized in the 26th minute owing to a superb shot by Ali Moosa. Jumanu again restored the lead for AYL in the 37th minute. However, Kalhaidhoo fought back and scored the equalizer in the opening minute of the second half by Abdullah Sujau. The winning goal came in the 83rd minute from Ali Fasir.
WB defeat Nepal U-14 in Subroto Cup
KATHMANDU, Oct 10: West Bengal defeated Nepal´s U-14 football team in Subroto Mukherji Cup Tournament in sub-junior category on Saturday. West Bengal defeated Nepal 3-0. Earlier, Nepal had won three consecutive games against Jharkhand, Delhi and Asom.
Nepal U-14 is participating in the tournament on behalf of Takshashila Academy. Nepali team will face two more teams in the group matches of the tournament.
Pandey re-elected NDSJA chairman
KATHMANDU, Oct 10: The general assembly of Nepal Democratic Sports Journalists´ Association (NDSJA) on Saturday unanimously re-elected a 13-member working committee with Chetan Pandey as chairman.
Narayan Upadhyay and Krishna Raj Khanal were elected as the deputy chairmen of the association. Nabin Aryal was elected secretary and Balmukunda Nepal undersecretary. Urmila Shakya, Shree Bikram Bhandari, Manoj Ghimire, Bishnuhari Ghimire, Radheshyam Dahal, Harihar Parajuli and Anweshan Adhikari were elected members.
