Though the hospital had earlier announced to run the camp for a month, it decided to extend it by a month, bearing in mind an increasing pressure of patients. In a period of one month, the hospital conducted surgery on 20 gallstone patients.

Patients also outside from the districts—Dhading, Jhapa, Gorkha, Janakpur and Butwal--visited the camp and most of the patients were over 80 years of age. The hospital has set up a separate desk within the hospital to make patients aware of this problem and provide counseling to them. RSS
