NUWAKOT, March 20: The Nepal House Reconstruction Project has been implemented here to help in the reconstruction of safe houses for the earthquake survivors.
The project will provide social and technological facilitation in the post-earthquake safe reconstruction in the Nuwakot district.
The project was initiated here on Monday by providing the blueprint of the house to one Mandevi Shakya of Dihi Bazar, Bidur Municipality-9, free of cost. The project is implemented by UNOPS with assistance from the Government of India.

Handing over the blueprint to Shakya, Chief of the Reconstruction Division at the Embassy of India, Suchita Kishor, said the project is being implemented for post-earthquake reconstruction in Nepal and that the cooperation from all sides was needed for its success.
Mayor of Bidur Municipality Sanju Pandit said that now was the time the local levels showed interest and provided the necessary support to the earthquake survivors in rebuilding their houses in the context of the earthquake survivors not being able to reconstruct their houses even nearly after 35 months of the devastating earthquake.
Project's programme coordinator Prem Kanta Jha said that the project would raise awareness, facilitate the local levels and provide technical support through 56 engineers for construction of earthquake-resistant 23,088 houses.
The project will be implemented in Barsunchet, Kimtang, Samari, Dangsingh, Khadga Bhanjyang, Gosyang, Kalyanpur, Deurali, Bungtang, Charghare, Jiling, Manakamana, Bageshwari, Khanigaon, Madanpur, Kharanitar, Sundaradevi, Balkumari and Bidur Municipality of the district.(RSS)
