NUWAKOT, April 16: A housing reconstruction project supported by the Indian government has come into force in Nuwakot. The initiation named 'Nepal Housing Reconstruction Project' will benefit over 23 thousand families in the district affected by the 2015 April earthquake. They will receive administrative, technical and social support under the project to rebuild the house.
According to project district coordinator Prem Kant Jha, the project covers the then 19 local levels.
Officials relieved of their post in Nuwakot for misconducts
A total of 2,388 beneficiaries of (previous) Bidur Municipality and 18 village development committees--Basunchet, Bageshwori, Balkumari, Bungtang, Charghare, Deurali, Dangsingh, Gosyang, Jiling, Kharanitar, Khanigaun, Kimtang, Khangbhanjyang, Kalyanpur, Manakamana, Madanpur, Samari and Sundaradevi-- have been selected for the implementation of project.
The project is to facilitate the administrative process for drawing the house grants from the government.
However, the news about the implementation of project has failed to draw due attention of the affected as it was enforced late. In the areas where the project is focused on, over 98 percent beneficiaries have already completed the housing construction grant agreement while 75 percent are busy in constructing houses, it is said.(RSS)
