Implementation of federalism through budget: Minister Mahara

KATHMANDU, May 30: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the government has started implementation of the federalism through budget.

KATHMANDU, May 30: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the government has started implementation of the federalism through budget.


Claiming that the government has made a breakthrough for the first time with the allocation of largest budget for the local level till date, Minister Mahara added that the authority of disbursement of budget from Singhadurbar has now shifted to local level.

Speaking at the press meet held at the ministry on Tuesday, Minister Mahara claimed that the new system will eradicate the problem of manipulation in the budget.


“The public are happy with the disbursement of the budget at the local level”, said Mahara.


“This has ended the trend of demanding the budget at the central level”, said Mahara and was confident that the country will experience the economic growth of 7.2 percent.
