MORANG, July 29: The police have seized drugs being brought illegally from Jogbani in India from the border area. On Thursday evening, illegal drugs worth more than Rs 300,000 were seized from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-17 near Raghupati Jute Mills while being brought from Jogbani.
According to DSP Deepak Shrestha, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Morang, the drugs packed in cartons were seized from Jogbani. Those involved in drug smuggling fled the scene soon after they saw police.

“We have seized 16 types of drugs while they were being brought to Bepal illegally,” DSP Shrestha said. “The medicine is worth 365.53 thousand rupees. We will hand over the seized drugs to the drug administration department for necessary investigation and action.”
