KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The police have seized goods that were brought illegally from India. The police seized the illegal goods from Madhuwan Municipality-3 and Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-2. According to the police, illegal goods worth Rs 143,614 have been seized.


The police team under the leadership of Inspector Mohan Jung Budhathoki of the Area Police Office Dhodhari recovered goods worth Rs 66,064 from Madhuwan. Dried fish, tobacco and other food items were seized by the team.

Similarly, the police team deployed from the Area Police Office Mainapokhari seized illegal goods worth Rs 77,550 from Badhaiyatal. According to the police, the recovered items include plastic bags, sugar, and tobacco products.


According to the statement issued by the police, the goods illegally imported from India and kept in an abandoned condition were seized and sent to the Rajapur customs office for necessary action.
