KATHMANDU, July 15: Today's scheduled meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has been postponed until July 21 with the political parties failing to set date to pass the budget. A notice brought today said that the meeting would convene on July 21 at 11 am.
With the largest party in the parliament, the Nepali Congress and the third largest party, the CPN (Maoist Centre) registering a motion of no confidence against the government in the Parliament Secretariat, political parties are facing difficulties for setting the date for approving the budget.
Parliament meeting postponed till Thursday
As a result, the House meeting postponed, the Parliament Secretariat said.
Apart from discussions on the passage of the budget, the next meeting will hold deliberation among the 281 lawmakers including the Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the secretariat said. RSS
