Nirajan Rayamajhi, Nirajan Khadka, Noor Raj Kafle, Deepak Bhusal and Rupak Shrestha are representing the western team.
Earlier, central region team defeated the blue team of PLA 2-0 at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato on Saturday morning. Makardhoj Gurung and Dikes Khadgi scored a goal each for the winner.
During the eight-day Games, nine men´s and eight women´s teams will vie in respective category of football while eight men´s and seven women´s teams will play in respective category of volleyball. The football winners will get Rs 300,000 while the runners-up will bag Rs 200,000. Likewise, volleyball winners in each category will win Rs 200,000.
Central and western region teams started the Games on a winning note in volleyball. Central region defeated PLA ´red´ 25-15, 25-20, 25-15 while western defeated mid-western team 25-23, 25-15, 25-16 at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall on Saturday.
Likewise, PLA defeated central region in the women´s volleyball match played at the Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center.
Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the Games organized to mark the 15th anniversary of the "people´s war" and the 9th anniversary of the PLA.
