Two matches under A-Division League football tournament being held today

KATHMANDU, March 7: Two matches will be played today under the Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League Football Tournament.


While one match will be played at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, the other match will be played at Chyasal Football Ground. There will be a match between Church Boys United and Khumaltar Youth at ANFA Complex. The match between these two will start at 2:30 pm.

Earlier, Church Boys United beat Police Club in the first match. Khumaltar Youth also beat Friends Club (FC) in the first match. Church Boys are in the fourth position with 3 points. Khumaltar Youth is in fifth place with 3 points.


Similarly, there will be a match between Friends Club and Three Star Club at Chyasal Ground. The match between these two teams will start at 2:30 pm. Before this, Friends Club lost to Khumaltar Youths and Three Star lost to APF Club in the first match.


This season's top division league is being held on the basis of a double round robin, which is being held in three grounds including Dashrath Stadium, Tripureshwar. This time, the league winner will get Rs 7.5 million, the second team will get Rs 5 million and the third team will get Rs 2.5 million.


The Fair Play team will get Rs 300,000. The most valuable player will get Rs 300,000, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper will get Rs 200,000 and the emerging player will get Rs 150,000. 


The winning club of each match will get Rs 50,000 as match money. The amount will be divided equally between the two clubs that are tied. The man of the match of every match will get Rs 10,000.
