KATHMANDU, Aug 14: The Health Insurance Board has paid Rs 3.56 billion to 376 hospitals and health institutions across the country, according to a public notice issued by the Board on Friday.
The payment covers insurance claims for Magh (mid-January to mid-February) and Falgun (mid-February to mid-March) of the previous fiscal year (FY 2025/26), the Board said.

The institutions receiving the payments include government hospitals, primary health centers, municipal hospitals, eye hospitals, private hospitals and teaching hospitals.
The payments also cover healthcare service providers operating in remote and rural areas, including primary health centers, basic hospitals and district hospitals, as well as major hospitals, according to the Board.
The Board said the payments were made against approved claims following the verification and evaluation of claims submitted by the respective health institutions.
