Government has no proper vision for economic growth: Dr Lohani

KATHMANDU, April 3: Economist and former Finance Minister Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani has criticized the government for lacking the proper vision for the economic growth of the country.

KATHMANDU, April 3: Economist and former Finance Minister Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani has criticized the government for lacking the proper vision for the economic growth of the country. Speaking in Nagarik Frontline with Shree Ram Paudel, Dr Lohani said that the government could not execute the plans and policies properly that would ensure the economic growth of Nepal.


Stating that the economic condition of the country has high potential, Dr Lohani said that due to the lack of strong development infrastructure, the economy position could not take speed.

“If the same condition continues in future then it might lead to economic mess”, Dr Lohani said.


In another context, Dr Lohani said that to introduce foreign investment in the country, the government should facilitate the investors, which, according to him, is very challenging.
