KATHMANDU, Aug 7: Kul Chandra Gautam’s memoir, ‘Global Citizen from Gulmi – My Journey from the Hills of Nepal to the Halls of the United Nations’ is scheduled for release on Monday at Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole.
According to a press statement released by Nepalaya, the book is a collection of Gautam’s journey from his humble beginnings to being the Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The book also contains candid anecdotes about Gautam’s interactions with international personalities such as Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi, Bill Gates, Eduard Shevardnadze and King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand as well as UNICEF’s celebrity Goodwill Ambassadors, states the press release issued by Nepalaya.
The paperback edition of the 547-page book, published by Nepalaya, is priced at Rs.895 while hardback edition is at Rs. 1395.
