KATHMANDU, March 20: The results of Free Students' Union (FSU) elections held on Sunday at 24 campuses in Karnali have been announced. According to the results made public so far, ANNISU (Revolutionary) has dominated.
According to Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet, out of 40 campuses here, 34 campuses have completed the FSU elections. FSU elections at six campuses have been postponed due to various reasons. In terms of public results, ANNISU (Revolutionary) has won elections in 14 campuses, Nepal Student Union (NSU) in six campuses and All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) has won the presidency of FSU in four campuses.
Mansur Karki from Chaturdev Hisupu Campus, Mugu, Santosh Acharya from Sinja Multiplex Campus, Jumla, Hikmat Singh from Tila Karnali Campus and Parbati Sanjyal from Jana Chetana Multiple Campus Kalikot have won the post of president from ANNISU (Revolutionary) .
FSU polls underway at few campuses
Similarly, Birbhan Bhandari, Nirajan KC, Deepak KC and Kiran Bishwakarma have been elected as presidents at Syarpu Multiple Campus, Sanibheri Education Campus, Radijyula Shiksha Campus, Shital Campus Chaurajahari, Rukum West.
Similarly, Ajay Bista, Barun Neupane and Yekraj Oli from Bangad Campus, Farula Multiple Campus, Dharma Multiple Campus and Janakalyan Campus Salyan, and Ranchandra Shahi from LIKU Joint Campus Dolpa and Jageshwar Thapa from Jajarkot Chedagad Gyan Kunja Campus Jajarkot have won in FSU elections.
Similarly, Narendra Bhandari from Manasarowar Multiple Campus Humla, Raj Tamang of Rara Multipurpose Campus Mugu, Mahesh Hamal from Jumla Multipurpose Campus, Sunil Shahi from Chamunda College, Dailekh, Junita Bista from Nanda Devi Multiple Campus, Kalikot and Gopal Khadka from Gurbhakot Multiple Campus, Surkhet have also been elected as presidents from NSU.
Likewise, from Simta Multiple Campus, Amardeep Campus, Himshikhar Multiple Campus and Bheri Campus, Ghanashyam Regmi, Anup Dhakal, Srijan Rasaili, Shakti Paudel of ANNFSU have won the post of president. According to the Karnali Province Police, the votes of 10 campuses are yet to be announced.
