KATHMANDU, July 30: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has asked Nepali envoys in Europe to orient their efforts to explore new opportunities to enhance Nepal's economic engagements with European countries.
Addressing the regional conference of Europe-based Nepali ambassadors in Belgium on Saturday, Foreign Minister Gyawali highlighted the importance of Nepal's relations with the European countries, EU institutions and the UN and international organizations to which Nepali missions are accredited, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

Foreign Minister Gyawali said that the main focus of Nepal's diplomacy is to promote Nepal's image at the international level including through its own 'narrative of unique and home-grown peace process. “In addition to this, our diplomatic mechanism needs to be contributed to our development efforts at home,” he said.
Altogether nine ambassadors including those from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, France, Spain and Russia participated in the conference. The envoys shed light on the available potentials for enhancing Nepal's cooperation with the respective countries and international organizations.
