KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Police have arrested five people with drugs from different parts of the country.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Raksirang Rural Municipality-4 with 1.8 kg of opium from Manhari Rural Municipality-6 Lothar of Makwanpur on Wednesday evening. Based on special information, the police stationed from the area police office Manhari, found him with the item and arrested him for investigation.
Drugstore operator arrested for selling illegal drugs
On Thursday morning, the police arrested two people with 32 kg of marijuana from Jitpursimra Sub-metropolitan City-1 Pathlaiya Tinkune Chowk in Bara. Among those arrested are Hiralal Syangtan, 41, and Laxmi Moktan, 35, who live in Makwanpur Hetauda Sub-metropolitan city-19, Bastipur.
While checking a car (Na 1 Ha 5893) going from Hetauda to Simara, the police stationed from Pathlaiya Police Station found the driver Hiralal and the passenger Laxmi with the marijuana and arrested them.
On Wednesday evening, the police arrested two people with about 36.75 grams of brown sugar from Rangeli Municipality-7 Nichamari bridge in Morang. Those arrested are Amit Kumar Das, 25, and Nilesh Kumar Das, 35, of Sunawarshi Municipality-4. While checking the motorcycle (Ko 31 Pa 4414) they were riding, the police deputed from the area police office, Rangeli, found them with the brown sugar and arrested them.
