Fire engulfs six houses in Dhankuta

DHANKUTA, March 16: Property worth more than 1crore and 75 lakh has been gutted here in Belhara VDC-9 on Saturday night.



The fire that broke out from a house of Bala bahadur Shrestha at around 10 pm last night has destroyed a total of six houses along with other physical properties. [break]



According to Padam Thapa, an inspector at Armed Police Force Maulghat base camp, two houses belonging to Shrestha, and each houses belonging to Tilak Pariyar, Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Rekha Thapa and Khem Thapa\ have been completely burnt down in the In the incident.



Accord to police, it took almost three hours to take the fire under control with the help of fire engines and the locals.



Fire engines were called from Dharan and Biratnagar to take the fire under control.
