Filmstars to play football for a cause

KATHMANDU, May 8: Artistes from the Nepali film industry and advertisers will play a football match with Nepali models next Saturday with the aim of raising awareness on keeping the Bagmati river clean.



A press statement issued by the Nepal Film Artistes´ Association (NFAA) on Wednesday said the association with support from Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) will organize Ace Travels Football at the Dasharath Stadium on May 18. [break]



The match will be held at four in the evening and will be followed by a Bagmati river cleanup campaign from Guheshwari to Sinamangal the next day.



NFAA further appeals to the public to support their initiative and take part in the cleaning campaign. The campaign is backed by the government of Nepal, Ministry of Urban Development, Pashupati Area Development Trust, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Gayatri Pariwar (Haridwar), India.
