Federal Parliament Secretariat asks MPs to submit their property details

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has issued a notice, asking the Members of Parliament (MPs) to submit their property details for the fiscal year 2022/23.

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has issued a notice, asking the Members of Parliament (MPs) to submit their property details for the fiscal year 2022/23.


The Prevention of Corruption Act 2059 BS and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Act 2048 BS stipulate that federal parliamentarians must submit a statement of their assets within 60 days of the end of the fiscal year. According to the same legal provision, MPs have been asked to submit their property details.

While submitting the property statement, the MPs must clearly mention the source or origin of the property in the name of himself and his family. For this, the Office of Parliament Secretariat has fixed the deadline till September 14.
