Ex-DIG, Inspector released

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The Special Court on Tuesday released former DIG Surendra Bahadur Pal and now suspended inspector Lal Govinda Shrestha saying that preliminary evidence doesn´t substantiate involvement in multi-million rupee Sudan scam and ordered them to appear before the court on August 16.



Following initial hearing over the graft charges filed by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the Special Court bench led by Chairman Gauri Bahadur Karki and shared by members Om Prakash Mishra and Kedar Prasad Chalise issued order to this effect.
