Dispute between universities will end soon: Minister Poudel

CHITWAN, Oct 17: Minister for Education, Dhaniram Poudel, today said the dispute between Tribhuvan University and Agriculture and Forestry University would be resolved soon.

CHITWAN, Oct 17: Minister for Education, Dhaniram Poudel, today said the dispute between Tribhuvan University and Agriculture and Forestry University would be resolved soon. 



At a press conference organized by Press Centre, Chitwan, Minister Poudel assured the dispute would be resolved once the commission submits its report. 



The Minister noted the examples seen in many parts of the world where program of two universities have been run at a single place and added that a research was in progress to find out how two universities could be operated in a single location. Discussions are taking place on whether the TU will hand over the ownership or if two universities could be operated form a single location, Minister Poudel shared. 



The dispute between the two varsities flared after TU decided to take admission at Rampur. Minister Poudel also spoke of providing the students school text books on time in the upcoming educational session. 



On a different note, Minister Poudel said the local body elections would be held within mid April 2017 if State Restructuring Commission submits its report by mid November. RSS
