Deputy speaker Rana returns home

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana, has returned to the country after completing a five-day official visit to the Russian Federation. She participated in the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and returned home on Saturday evening.

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana, has returned to the country after completing a five-day official visit to the Russian Federation. She participated in the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and returned home on Saturday evening.


The fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum was held from September 18 to September 20, organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Deputy Speaker Rana addressed the forum on September 18.

During her address, Deputy Speaker Rana expressed her views on the challenges faced in the enjoyment of rights for women and children, as well as on the need to prevent abuses arising from the use of technology.


She had left for the forum on September 17.
