DAOs instructed to launch investigation and take action against those involved in explosions in various districts

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has instructed District Administration Offices to immediately launch investigation and take action against those involved in recent bomb explosions in various districts.


In its written instruction to DAOs, the MoHA has asked to launch investigation and take stringent action against those involved in bomb explosions, senior officials said on Saturday.

The instruction comes following reports of bomb explosions targeting the offices of mobile phone operator Ncell in Lalitpur, Gorkha, Baglung, Kaski, Rautahat and Rupandehi districts yesterday night.


MOHA Spokesperson Ramkrishna Subedi told Republica Online that the ministry issued instructions to 77 DAOs immediately after the bomb explosions on Friday night.


"We have asked the DAOs to take action against those involved in recent bomb explosions," Subedi said adding, "Those who are involved in the bomb explosions will be brought to book in line with the existing laws. Nobody is above the law."


Meanwhile, the Nepal Police Headquarters has said that security has been beefed up in the wake of bomb explosions in various districts.
