KATHMANDU, June 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) plummeted by 24.76 points to close at 2,628.91 points on Thursday.
The secondary market opened at 2,653.68 points and inclined to the day’s high at 2,661.33 points in the first five minutes. The index then suffered a straight fall and reached the day’s low at 2,629.18 points in the last 16 minutes of the trading hours. The market recovered around nine points in the remaining time before it closed for the day.

All the 13 groups were the losers. Trading shed the largest of 104.94 points in its index.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, lost 3.01 points. The daily turnover amount rose to Rs 11.23 billion, an increase of over Rs 2 billion from transaction of Rs 9.08 billion on Wednesday.
Among the individual companies, 47 were gainers while 201 were recorded as the losers. Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 854.45 million.
With a decline of 10 percentage points, Pure Energy Limited and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Company Limited were recorded as the highest losers. Panchakanya Mai Hydropower gained the largest of 9.98 percent of its market value.
