KATHMANDU, October 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday inclined 16.67 points to close at 2,503.85 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,487.17 points and plunged to the day’s low at 2,483.36 points in the first 38 minutes. In the next 40 minutes, the index soared to the day’s high 2,507.13 points. The market went through nominal fluctuations in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Of the three losing groups, non-life insurance shed the largest of 36.12 points, followed by the development banks and mutual funds with declines of 11.44 points and 0.02 points, respectively. Out of 10 gainers, manufacturing and processing added the largest of 63.95 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 2.31 points. The daily turnover however declined to Rs 2.79 billion from Rs 3.27 billion.
Among the individual companies, 163 were gainers while 78 were recorded as losers. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 281.09 million.
Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was recorded as the topmost gainer. Himalayan 80-20 with a decline of 6.10 percent of its market price was the highest loser.
