Dacoits identified and arrested with help of CCTV camera

SINDHULI, Jan 12: A gang of dacoits from Indian state of Bihar were identified with the help of CCTV camera in Sindhuli.

SINDHULI, Jan 12: A gang of dacoits from Indian state of Bihar were identified with the help of CCTV camera in Sindhuli. 


The armed robbers had broken into a shop of one Sikander Sah at Eknumber Bazaar of Kamalamai Municipality - 6 on January 2 before fleeing.

The police arrested Shekh Mohammed Safil aka Sariful Rahman, 52, of Shekhtola area in Sarlahi's Tribhuvannagar - 7, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Subash Chandra Bohara, of District Police Office, Sindhuli. 


Shekh was arrested from Kathmandu on Tuesday and was brought to District Police Office, Sindhuli for further investigation. 


The police have also launched a search for other gang members - Uji Ansari, 40, Ramnath Sah, 35 of Bairganiya Panchayat of Bihar, India, Shekh Sakil, 38, of Sunaula, Mohammed Dular, 40 of Samastipur, Mohammed Alihas, 35, of Sitamadhi and Push Singh, 36, of Bairganiya Panchayat. 


The armed robbers arrived in Sindhuli to rob for the first time and were identified with help of CCTV cameras, police claim. RSS
