SINDHULI, June 6: The vehicle carrying CTEVT employees that had plunged into the Sunkoshi River has been located and recovered at a depth of approximately 30 feet on Tuesday.

According to police, the diving team of the Armed Police Force (APF) retrieved the vehicle along with the bodies of two individuals inside.

According to the authorities, the bodies found in the vehicle have been identified as those of two employees. The victims have been identified as 57-year-old Krishna Bahadur KC, Joint Secretary of the CTVT Administration Division, and 32-year-old Electrical Instructor Bhanu Paudel.

However, the driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Krishna Chaudhary, had managed to swim to safety despite sustaining injuries. However, 56-year old Yam Prasad Bhurtel, who served as Director of Planning Division at the CTEVT, is still missing.

The accident occurred last Friday when a vehicle with license plate number Ba 1 Jh 7467, traveling from Kathmandu to Khotang fell into the Sunkoshi River Golanjore Rural Municipality-7 in Laukun. Following the accident, the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School's team has been diligently engaged in search and rescue operations for the missing persons in the Sunkosima area for the past five days.
