KATHMANDU, Oct 31: CPN (Unified Socialist) has released its manifesto for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections with the main slogan of national self-respect, defense of the constitution, stability and prosperity of the country through economic and social transformation.
CPN (Unified Socialist) Vice-chairman Rajendra Pandey, General Secretary Beduram Bhusal and other leaders collectively released the party's election manifesto at the party's central office in Aloknagar, Kathmandu on Monday.
In the manifesto, emphasis has been placed on a self-reliant economy. General Secretary Bhusal said that modernization of agriculture, commercialization and market management are the main priorities in the manifesto.
It has been mentioned that a fertilizer factory will be set up so that the farmers do not have a shortage of fertilizer. Likewise, the utilization of barren land, provision of agricultural insurance, and youth-targeted programs are also included in the manifesto.

A commitment has been made to build the East-West Megha Nahar (Canal) to provide irrigation to arable land. General Secretary Bhusal made it clear that the commitment is made with the concept that Nepal's water belongs to Nepal.
General Secretary Bhusal said that the establishment and operation of domestic, rural, small and medium industries based on local raw materials is also included in the manifesto. The commitment to create a comfortable environment for foreign investment is also mentioned in the manifesto.
